WIRIB Tourism Park

Wirib Tourism Park sits on Victoria Highway in Timber Creek and is one of the few proper spots to stop in this part of the Northern Territory. It’s a basic caravan park with powered and unpowered sites, plus cabins if you’re not keen on sleeping in a tent or your van. Booking is by request, so don’t just rock up expecting a site in peak season.

The park has the usual facilities: showers, toilets, a camp kitchen and laundry. Timber Creek itself is pretty quiet, so don’t expect much nightlife or shops beyond the essentials. But if you’re passing through on the highway, it’s a handy place to rest and refuel before heading further into the Top End or back towards Katherine.
